Dream Within a Dream is an immersive live performance reimagining the iconic scores of Hans Zimmer through modern jazz improvisation, electronic textures, and atmospheric storytelling. Performed by Owen Chen's Eternal Wind Quartet, this evening transforms Zimmer’s epic worlds into raw, improvised arrangements that reveal new emotional dimensions in music audiences already carry with them.

Zimmer’s music is built on slow burns, obsessive rhythms, and emotional gravity—the same forces that drive modal jazz and long-form improvisation. Familiar themes from Inception, Interstellar, Dune, The Dark Knight, Blade Runner 2049 and beyond are stretched, deconstructed, and reassembled into evolving soundscapes: pulsing ostinatos, brooding harmonies, surging climaxes, and moments of suspended stillness.

Eternal Wind is a cinematic jazz collective led by guitarist Owen Chen, exploring film and game music through the lens of modern jazz improvisation and atmospheric storytelling. Drawing from the language of the jazz tradition, ambient textures, and a wide range of stylistic influences, the group reshapes Zimmer’s familiar scores into a living narrative—intimate, restless, nostalgic, and alive.
